EzyBreath Nasal Strip – Frequently Asked Questions
EzyBreath® Nasal Strip – Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about fit, application, skin sensitivity, care, and where nasal strips do — and don't — fit into your health routine.
Who Is This Product For?
Who typically benefits from EzyBreath nasal strips?
EzyBreath strips are designed for adults who experience mild nasal congestion, occasional snoring related to nasal airflow restriction, or reduced nasal airflow during exercise. Common users include:
- Side sleepers or partners affected by nasal snoring
- People with temporary congestion from allergies or a cold
- Athletes looking to support nasal breathing during training
- Anyone who prefers a drug-free, external option over nasal sprays
Who should speak with a doctor before using nasal strips?
Please seek medical advice before use if you:
- Have been diagnosed with or suspect obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
- Snore heavily every night regardless of sleeping position
- Experience gasping, choking, or waking suddenly during sleep
- Have a deviated septum, nasal polyps, or chronic sinusitis
- Have sensitive, broken, sunburned, or compromised skin on the nose
- Are pregnant, or are considering use for a child
Important: EzyBreath nasal strips are not a treatment for obstructive sleep apnea or any other diagnosed sleep disorder. If you suspect sleep apnea, consult a qualified medical professional.
Fit
Which size should I choose?
The starter kit includes reusable silicone relief strips in multiple sizes. As a general guide, measure the width of the bridge of your nose between the flare points. If you are unsure, start with the medium size — it fits most adult nose shapes. The strips should lie flat across the bridge without extending onto the cheeks or covering the nostrils.
The strip keeps shifting during sleep. What should I do?
Three things usually fix this:
- Make sure the nose surface is completely clean and dry before applying (see application steps below).
- Press firmly along the full length of the tab for 10–15 seconds after placement.
- Try a smaller size — a strip that overhangs the nose bridge is more likely to lift at the edges.
Can I use the strips if I have a wide or narrow nose bridge?
Yes. The kit's multiple silicone sizes accommodate a range of nose shapes. The disposable adhesive tabs conform to the contour of the bridge. If the strip does not lie flat naturally, try the next size down.
Application
What is in the starter kit?
- 4 reusable silicone relief strips (in multiple sizes)
- 15 disposable adhesive nasal tabs
- 1 magnetic applicator for positioning and alignment
How do I apply the strip correctly?
- Wash your face and rinse away any cleanser residue.
- Dry the nose thoroughly — even a little moisture or oil will reduce adhesion.
- If you use a night moisturiser, apply it to your face but avoid the nose bridge area where the tab will sit.
- Select the correct silicone strip size and attach a fresh disposable tab to it using the magnetic applicator.
- Centre the assembly on the bridge of your nose, just above the flare of the nostrils.
- Press down firmly for 10–15 seconds.
- Breathe normally — you should feel a gentle outward lift on the sides of the nose.
Can I apply the strip over skincare products or sunscreen?
No. Any film of oil, serum, moisturiser, or sunscreen between the tab and the skin will significantly reduce adhesion and increase the chance of the strip peeling off during the night. Apply the strip to clean, product-free skin.
Can I reuse a disposable tab?
No. Each disposable adhesive tab is designed for single use. Reusing a tab reduces adhesion and increases the risk of skin irritation. The silicone relief strip itself is reusable — only the tab needs replacing each night.
Skin Sensitivity & Adhesive Hold
Is the adhesive safe for sensitive skin?
The disposable tabs use a skin-friendly adhesive, and the silicone strips are latex-free and drug-free. That said, individual skin responses vary. We recommend doing a patch test on a small area of the nose or inner wrist on your first use and waiting 30 minutes before full application. If you notice any redness, itching, or burning during this test, do not proceed.
The strip left a mark or my skin feels sore. What should I do?
- Remove the strip gently (see removal steps below) and allow the skin to rest.
- Apply a fragrance-free moisturiser to the area if needed.
- Do not reapply until the skin has fully recovered.
- If redness, itching, or irritation persists beyond 24 hours, consult a pharmacist or dermatologist.
- If you experience a similar reaction again, discontinue use.
My strip is not sticking well. Is something wrong with the product?
Poor adhesion is almost always caused by skin surface conditions, not product defects. Check the following:
- Was the nose bridge completely dry before application?
- Was there any skincare product, oil, or sweat on the surface?
- Was the tab pressed firmly for the full 10–15 seconds?
If adhesion problems persist after addressing these points, please contact us.
Removal
How do I remove the strip without hurting my skin?
- Do not pull the strip off dry. Wet the tab lightly with warm water or apply a small amount of facial oil or baby oil to the edges and allow it to soak in for 30–60 seconds.
- Slowly peel back one edge, holding the skin taut with your other hand.
- Work gradually across the tab — do not rip it off in one motion.
- If resistance increases, apply a little more water or oil and wait before continuing.
Can I remove the strip quickly if I need to?
We strongly recommend the slow, wet-removal method above regardless of how much time you have. Rapid removal increases the risk of skin irritation, especially with repeated use or on thinner skin.
Care of the Reusable Silicone Strip
How do I clean the reusable silicone relief strip?
- Remove the used disposable tab from the silicone strip after each use.
- Rinse the silicone strip under warm running water.
- Clean with a mild, fragrance-free soap if needed, then rinse thoroughly.
- Allow to air dry completely before storing.
- Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.
How long does the reusable silicone strip last?
With proper cleaning and storage, the silicone strip is designed for repeated use. Inspect it regularly for tears, loss of shape, or discolouration. Replace it if it no longer sits correctly on the nose bridge or shows visible wear.
Appropriate Use & Health Boundaries
Will this strip cure my snoring?
EzyBreath strips support nasal airflow, which may reduce snoring in people whose snoring originates from nasal congestion or restricted nasal breathing. They are not a cure for snoring, and they will not address snoring that originates in the throat, palate, or airway.
Can I use this instead of a CPAP machine or sleep apnea treatment?
No. EzyBreath nasal strips are not a medical device for treating obstructive sleep apnea. If you have been prescribed CPAP therapy or another sleep apnea treatment, continue that treatment. Do not substitute nasal strips for prescribed therapy without discussing it with your doctor.
Is it safe to use every night long-term?
For most adults, nightly use is fine, provided the skin tolerates the adhesive well. Monitor your skin regularly. If you notice recurring irritation, reduce frequency or consult a dermatologist. If the reason you need nasal strips nightly is worsening — congestion is heavier, snoring is louder, or you feel increasingly unrefreshed after sleep — speak with a doctor rather than increasing use.
Can children use these strips?
EzyBreath strips are formulated for adult use. Do not use on children without specific guidance from a paediatrician.
